This iconic lamp is in an interplay between heaviness and lightness. The massive and bold concrete block seems to float in the air. Only two very light and delicate brass legs hold it in place.
This delicacy of its simple and elegant metal feet contradicts the rocklike heaviness of the concrete block.
The warm golden colour of the brass matches the gold-plated inside of the concrete block which hides the light source. Together with the smooth grey concrete surface with its rough edges and the elegant bearing structures the whole composition of the Lamp creates an exciting yet nonchalant matter of course.
